After receiving 10 new hydrogen vehicles from FORD, Iceland has now the largest fleet of hydrogen vehicles in Europe. The vehicles are imported by Icelandic New Energy and Brimborg after being successfully operated in a DOE-Demonstration program in the US.
It shows a great faith in the hydrogen activities in Iceland, managed by Icelandic New Energy and the service work of Icelandic Hydrogen, who is servicing all hydrogen vehicles in Iceland, that the destination of Iceland has been chosen for the final period of the operation. The vehicles will be leased to customers in January 2010 and operated in the Reykjavik area.
